[2.2.15] Addon HUD rendering has significantly slowed down

Recently, i've noticed that the game runs slower when some mods with custom huds render those huds. This hasnt happened on earlier versions, so maybe its some sort of regression in 2.2.15? Some other mods have fallen victim to this, and other people have noticed, but i dont have any evidence on hand so i'll edit this post tomorrow to add them.

Here's one example i have, letting this mod draw its hud slows down my game about 40 FPS, as long as i dont press tab or turn off hud
