SRB2 Not Starting Up

After I compiled SRB2 in both of the master and next branches, I put the exes in the 2.2 folder and tried to run those exes, but those exes do not start at all with no log file and no RPT file being created. I don't have this issue at all with the official 2.2 exe that was publicly released. Apperently, MR !567 (merged) is the cause according to James and Jaime.
