When I was creating a custom terrain type for a map related thing I was trying to do I came across this issue.Defining a custom terrain type can cause either tripwires to stop working or turn all linedefs into tripwires. This is a very major bug as it could break custom content and regular gameplay as well with custom maps that use these loaded.
Included here is a PK3 that shows off this issue. Load this pk3 and go into the test map and it will be either of the two effects above. The effect can commonly be cycled by reloading the map over and over
